How to Prepare for Rhinoplasty
Patients can receive an initial consultation free of charge, either remotely or in person at the clinic. For a remote consultation, the patient should contact the doctor by telephone or through a messaging app. After the consultation, preparation for surgery begins and includes the following stages:
• Completing the medical tests prescribed by the doctor;
• Abstaining from alcohol;
• Reducing or completely stopping smoking;
• The doctor will review the test results and, provided that no contraindications are identified, schedule the date and time of the rhinoplasty procedure. Two to three days before surgery, patients must stop taking coagulants—medications that increase blood clotting;
• On the scheduled day, the patient should arrive at the clinic one hour before the procedure. This additional time is required for another consultation with the patient. The anaesthesiologist, ENT specialist, and surgeon discuss certain details and the expected results with the patient;
• After the consultation, the surgeon marks the patient’s nasal area and takes the patient to the operating room.
How Is Rhinoplasty Performed at Dr. Shbair’s Clinic?
The procedure begins with thorough antiseptic treatment of the correction area, where experienced surgeons use advanced techniques. After anaesthesia has been administered, the surgeon makes precise incisions to work with the bone and cartilage tissues. The use of an ultrasonic piezo surgical instrument makes the procedure less traumatic and allows the surgeon to reshape hard structures accurately.
At the end of the operation, the surgeon secures the tissues in their new position and closes the incisions with professional sutures. Nasal packing and a stabilising splint are then applied to protect and support the nose. The duration of the operation varies from one to three hours, depending on the selected rhinoplasty technique. Our approach makes every stage of the procedure precise, innovative, and as comfortable as possible for the patient.

• Unspecified neoplasms as a concurrent medical condition;
• Absence of a dermatovenereologist’s medical clearance in the event of a positive Wassermann test;
• Absence of an infectious disease specialist’s medical clearance in the event of a positive test for hepatitis or HIV;
• Acute or chronic neuropsychiatric disorders and dementia;
• Absence of a specialist’s medical clearance confirming the patient’s ability to undergo surgical treatment.
What Results Can You Expect from Rhinoplasty at Our Clinic?

Thread-based nose reshaping, filler injections, Botox, and other non-surgical techniques can address only minor aesthetic concerns. They cannot resolve severe breathing problems. The duration of surgery varies from one and a half to three hours. General anaesthesia is used in most cases, although local anaesthesia may sometimes be suitable. To make scars as discreet as possible, incisions are placed in concealed areas, such as natural skin folds.
After healing, a thin white line up to 1 mm wide usually remains at the incision site. We use absorbable sutures, so patients do not need to have them removed.
